Reasons to shop from us

Hi! I think I should tell you all something about myself and my thoughts about food before you and your best animal friend try one of my treats. I was born Victoria Jackson in New York City, a wonderous large place I loved beyond all reason. I remember my parents telling me on the steps of the New York Public Library, right between the big lions, that we would be moving to New Jersey. "New Jersey? Where was that?" I refused to go as only a three year old can refuse. To sweeten the pot, while not wanting to strong arm me, my parents promised me my first pet and so began my life long loving relationship with many wonderful and some rather crazy creatures. My life circumstances brought me back to New York City for work and I made a hard decision that my life style was such that any dog I might have would be very lonely so I lived dogless until my nephew Mathew and my sister Jenny adopted Barney, a wonderful tiny terrier with an enormous heart, loved by all who met him. At this same time I was discovering that my passion for food could be turned into a business. My cooking partner Mary and I made dog biscuits to give as "thank yous" to our dog owning customers. Back to New Jersey where many of my friends had dogs, so I continued to bake treats for them. All of them seemed to like them except one who buried it. I chose to believe he was saving it for a later treat. And so, overtime, I became Aunt Vicky to many wonderful dogs. As I cooked treats I looked at other products on the market and discovered that many have stuff that I couldn't even pronounce let alone guess what they did, so called "preservatives" and such. They seemed to be filled with ingredients I wouldn't want to eat so why would I serve them to someone who can't object to what they are getting to eat. My reasoning is that my treats should be made with all healthy ingredients, organic when possible. They are designed to be eaten by your dog but all the ingredients are human quality. In fact, my husband thinks the banana pumpkin bars are better than his normal power bar and maybe healthier. I do my shopping at local groceries and health food stores. So that's kind of it. I believe in good, clean, healthy cooking for people as well as dogs. I hope that you will try some and that your furry friend will like them enough to let me be Aunt Vicky to them also.
